Business
The academy’s training for businesses provides lively and engaging workshops. Our curriculum gives practical guidance for real-world results, helping professionals make a good impression as they navigate social challenges.
Business Etiquette to Outclass the Competition
By providing valuable social tools, this course gives participants a competitive advantage in the marketplace. Topics include eye contact, introductions, the handshake, remembering names, and the art of conversation. Business card protocol, electronic communications, and corporate entertaining round out this course.
Dine Like a Diplomat
Local customs carry great weight for those conducting business in a global economy. This course covers host and guest duties; American, Middle Eastern, Continental, and Asian eating styles; protocols for service, seating, napkin and place settings, toasting, tipping, and other particulars geared toward averting awkwardness and assuring world-class entertainment.
How to Succeed in the International Arena
Individuals and organizations alike increasingly require protocol training, whether for business, military, or diplomatic applications. Using the acclaimed curriculum of the Protocol School of Washington®, we train you in areas that include business attire, rank and status, business customs and terminology, interaction intelligence, handshakes, communication and conversation styles, remembering names, and gift giving.
Dress to Impress
How you look and present yourself speaks volumes — even before you say a word. Through this training, we help you to know how to select the appropriate attire for the occasion, ranging from formal to casual situations, and how to maximize accessories and grooming for a positive impression that will last.
Personal Consulting
We provide personal, customized sessions to meet individual needs. Topics vary, but may include items such as overcoming shyness or social anxiety, networking, preparing to meet a key client, polishing your image, and particular challenges related to dining and entertaining.
Children
Our etiquette and leadership programs for children 8 to 12 years old teach courtesy and respect through a variety of activities.
We recognize that earlier is better when it comes to teaching manners and proper social behavior. Our fun and engaging activities instill confidence and assurance, which are building blocks to solid social development. Topics include social and communication skills, remembering names, conversation, self-respect and mutual respect, handshakes, telephone manners, building self-confidence, public speaking, introductions, and interviewing. Among other elements we teach are eye contact, courtesies and compliments, sportsmanship, honesty, listening, and dinner manners.
Capitalizing on youths’ natural love of music, we also use dance as a vehicle to teach etiquette and respect, including shaking hands, remembering names, conversation skills, and more. The fox trot, the waltz, the swing, the twist, and line dances are featured.
Teens
Adolescents face social challenges that are imposing and varied. Whether on the playing field, in the classroom, or on the smartphone, teens yearn for guidelines and protocols that point the way to healthy relationships and successful opportunity as mature individuals. Our programs for ages 13-17, which consist of seminars, lectures, and social dance, can serve as useful aids in curtailing bullying and violence, improving physical and mental health, and enhancing interpersonal relationships.
Our courses address modern issues, ranging from texting to movie theater etiquette. We build personal confidence and esteem through topics such as respectful speech, cultural awareness, knowledge of public places, social and communication skills, sportsmanship, remembering names, conversation, handshakes, honesty, telephone manners, introductions, interviewing, body language and eye contact, courtesies and compliments, listening, and eating etiquette.
Young Adults
We encounter situations every day that challenge us with respect to good manners and proper etiquette. No one wants to look socially awkward — or worse yet — ungrateful or ill mannered. This course helps young adults 18 to 24 years old acquire the social intelligence skills that will help them thrive. Topics include social and communication skills, remembering names, the art of conversation, the proper handshake, telephone manners, public speaking, introductions, interviewing, eye contact, courtesies and compliments, proper attire, and appropriate dinner conduct.
